‘NieR: Automata’ Colosseum DLC Includes CEO of Square Enix Fight And More
The upcoming Colosseum DLC for “NieR: Automata” will include a boss fight against the CEO of Square Enix and a lot more. This is in celebration of the one million shipments of the game which was revealed through a live stream. The DLC will be called 3C3C1D119440927.
According to reports, it wasn’t really expected for the game to be so successful. Game director Yoko Taro’s unique interpretation of the game has won gamers over to the point of surpassing the game’s sales expectation in the first 30 days. And because of this, Platinum Games and Square Enix are now capitalizing for a new DLC that will extend “NieR: Automata” unique game experience.
The new DLC will also include new missions, sidequests, and costumes. Square Enix also released a teaser of the upcoming DLC where fans can get a glimpse of the interesting boss fight against the CEO of Square Enix, Yosuke Matsuda, and Platinum Games CEO Kenichi Sato. To battle the boss, "NieR: Automata" players need to insist the Resistance Secretary allow it and when she does, the player battles both CEO at the same time.
Of course, CEOs are “the strongest beings on the planet” according to the Resistance Secretary so players are not expected to win the battle. The fight will end with the CEOs deciding to stop and giving the player a parting gift which is a sure kill combo. Nevertheless, it is still a fun experience that makes the new "NieR: Automata" DLC worth trying.
The new DLC is said to cost 1,500 yen or approximately $14 USD which will release on May 2 in Japan. No announcement yet has been made regarding a release in the US and if it will cost the same equivalent amount in yen. But since “NieR: Automata” is very in-demand in the US today, the DLC should soon be released in the western market too.
