'Final Fantasy 12 The Zodiac Age' Making A Comeback This July; To Feature A Tweaked Job System & New Game Modes.
Square Enix's 12th mainline episode in the "Final Fantasy" franchise - "Final Fantasy 12" will be making a comeback this 2017 through its remastered iteration dubbed "The Zodiac Age." The upcoming revamped title has been overhauled to suit the whims of today's players as it will boast a tweaked job class alongside new game modes.
Gaming buffs have deemed "Final Fantasy 12" to a game ahead of its time as it showcased a brand new battle system when it first came out in 2006. The game ushered in an Active Dimension Battle (ADB) where the characters can move freely around the battlefield and can attack whenever they are ready.
The ADB will still be included in the game. The good thing though is that the aforementioned tweaks will make it easier for tenured and noobs to traverse the world of Ivalice.
The Job System that was introduced within the original game has undergone some major upgrades. The remastered version of "Final Fantasy 12" will allow players to designate two job classes on a character concurrently. This means that a character can be a knight while at the same time spew some magic towards enemies in real time, Digital Spy reported.
Albeit being in the original title, the High-Speed Mode will also be included in the remastered version of "Final Fantasy 12." The game sequel was conceived to have a massive game environment during that time and moving from one point to another has irked players back then. With the single press and hold of a button, gamers can quickly get to a certain location of the game without gobbling up too much time.
For players who are up to the challenge, they may try the Trial Mode where they can try its 100 levels. To make it even more challenging, the game developers have devised it in a way that players won't be using the same gambit penchant all throughout those stages. Additionally, it was mentioned that their goal for this feature is for gamers to fully utilize "Final Fantasy 12's" gambit system, Polygon noted.
"Final Fantasy 12 The Zodiac Age" is still a bit way off as it will be released on July 11. Check out one of the game plays within the game:
