Luke Skywalker could be heading to the dark side in the upcoming “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” movie, Mark Hamill said. The actor graced Florida’s Star Wars Celebration with his presence, opening up about the possible path his fan-fave character could follow in the next installment.

“It’s possible, anything’s possible,” Hamill said, as reported by The Independent. During the panel, he also quipped that he is known for suffering “short-term memory loss” and that he “lost credibility with the public through social media because I lie all the time.” At the Star Wars celebration, it was also revealed that the late Carrie Fisher lent a hand in rewriting the “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” script before she died.

Fisher is expected to make an appearance in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," her final one in a “Star Wars” movie. “Carrie is remarkable in the movie,” Lucasfilm president Kathy Kennedy said. “What Rian [Johnson] wrote, and the performance she [Fisher] ended up giving; I think you guys will find that an amazing tribute to her talent.”

Fisher died on Dec. 27, 2016, four days following a cardiac arrest while on a plane. The 60-year-old actress was already done filming scenes for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” “I love her so much. I just adore her. I connected with her first and foremost as a writer. She was an incredible writer, with an incredible mind,” Johnson added.

Co-star Hamill opened up about his time spent with Fisher in and out of the studio during the years they filmed the past “Star Wars” movies. He concluded his statement by saying that it would have been easy to give in to grief, but Fisher would not want things to be that way. The actor also admitted that there has not been a day since her death that he had gone to sleep without thinking about her. The upcoming “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is slated for a premiere on Dec. 15, 2017, starring Hamill, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver and John Boyega, among others.
