Timothy Zahn's latest "Star Wars" novel - "Thrawn" has just been released and has been getting good reviews as of late from literary critics and fans of both the character and the mythos. It also tackled important details on how he came to be the Empire's feared war tactician.

A substantial number of readers who got to pry into the new "Star Wars" novel have noticed that "Thrawn" has masterfully synched the "Legends" books and the current canon as new information about the Chiss has been chipped in, Gizmodo reported. Moreover, those who have managed to read the entirety of the new novel even felt like they have back read the Thrawn Trilogy or it prequel - "Outbound Flight."

Fans knew for a fact that "Star Wars Rebels'" third season introduced the character into the series. However, he was already known as the cunning grand admiral of the Imperial fleet without ever tackling the blue-skinned alien's roots. The new novel, on the other hand, has narrated such origin including how he handled a society where non-humans are despised, according to Screen Rant.

That being mentioned, the hints of racism within the novel could be deemed as one of Thrawn's major antagonists. The new book also tackled that element including how he hurdled such debacle. The rebel that goes by the moniker Nightswan is also a notable adversary in the new novel. The new book also leaned towards that element as it seems like the evasive rebel entices Thrawn to check on every deed that he commits in foiling the Empire's plans.

Readers even thought of Thrawn as the Empire's Sherlock Holmes and Nightswan as his "Napoleon of Crime" - Moriarty. The former grew interested in the latter that he even devised a plan just to meet up with the rebel and have a chat. Check out a review about the new novel here:
