Windows 10 Skype UWP app has just been given an important update. The latest Skype update rolls out to all standard non-insider Windows 10 user on PC and Mobile, dropping the "preview" tag and bringing instead a new way of managing contacts, including a few options to search chats and some other improvements.

Windows 10 Upgrades Skype App To Version 11.13.133

In the Windows 10 Skype app upgrade, the contacts have been simplified through the People app on the device, displaying the number of mutual contacts shared that makes is easier to find the people to connect with. Also, the user has the option not to use this setting by updating the profile for People Search and Suggestions.

Windows 10's Skype 11.13.144 also enables keyboard shortcuts and searchable chats, and will also send SMS along with Skype Credit. As for the group video calling feature, the newly redesigned view will bring people even closer together, while also having the option to switch microphone or the camera on a new device during a call. Meantime, the Skype update follows a previous release from Microsoft, which is the same update for Windows Insiders last month, OnMSFT reported.

Windows 10 Slow Boot Can Be Fixed

A slow booting Windows 10 can be fixed by stopping first the program loading during startups. Controls are also provided that shows which apps are allowed to run at launch by holding down CTRL+ALT+DEL and choose Task Manager from the menu.

Next is to check for available Windows 10 update by pressing the Windows key+I, then choose Update & Security, where an option is provided for checking for updates or installing the ones available. This is recommended prior to rebooting the machine.

Windows 10 fix may also require running a full scan on the system to check if some nasty agents are lurking in the code. Experts recommend a regular checking of malware that causes performance drops on the PC, PC Advisor reported.
