New skin, new items, and new game mode are coming with this new "Overwatch" Uprising event. The game heroes' new looks are based on their classic Overwatch uniform; you can check here how it looks to your favorite Overwatch heroes.
The new Uprising event takes the cast of "Overwatch" back in time and gives players a chance to relive a pivotal moment in the game's history. The event includes the new cooperative brawl. Here where Tracer and her Overwatch co-members battle waves of Omnic extremists, Null Sector, in a modified version of the King's Row.
This is based on the comic story, titled "Uprising," showing the past story of the "Overwatch" team and one of their deadliest battle in the King's Row, which Blizzard released before the event started. There are also a lot of good scenes and facts fans could see in the Uprising comic.
The new cooperative brawl Uprising will be playable in two ways. The first is which players play as either on the four main "Overwatch" heroes; Tracer, Reinhardt, Mercy or Torbjörn. The other one is which players can choose from the game's entire 24 characters' roster. In addition, for the Uprising event's new brawl, there are more than 100 cosmetic items that can be earned by players from loot boxes.
According to the Express, instead of going down the route of providing a seasonal event that pulls from the calendar seasons, Blizzard has decided to pursue something far more exciting. The studio has chosen to expand the game's own lore and focus on an event that was recently fleshed out in the latest digital comic. The new "Overwatch" Uprising event is now live on PS4, Xbox One and PC, and it will run until May 1 2017.
