'Overwatch Insurrection' Happening Today; Widowmaker's Past Revisited Through A New Spray
"Overwatch" fans are now well aware of the upcoming event the will go full throttle today dubbed "Overwatch Insurrection." A teaser video was even dished out showcasing the team's new skins back when they are still new in the business.
The two-minute video featured the original 'Overwatch" collective consisting of Reinhardt, Torbjorn, Mercy, and Tracer. As aforementioned, the team's first uniforms were also shown in the sizzler reel including the skins of the Blackwatch roster that showcased Genji, Widowmaker, and McCree.
The soon to be released game event will be set seven years back during the King's Row insurrection as this was Tracer's first ever mission with the "Overwatch" team, according to Gamespot. Also, the new game event's trailer hinted that the content could have a new game mode just like its predecessors where enemy hordes will come swarming in at the same time.
Aside from the upcoming outfits, item, and the likes, some eagle-eyed folks have caught a glimpse of an interesting spray that was flashed on the video. The intriguing spray showed an image of Gerard and Amelie Lacroix - the Widowmaker.
The new spray seemed to have been taken from their wedding day back when her skin was still normal toned. It was said that the midnight blue-skinned assassin was original with the "Overwatch" lineup before she was taken away by terrorist operatives that run through the moniker Talon, Polygon reported.
The group altered her psyche and later on ordered her to eliminate his other half. The brainwashing process is also believed to have bogged down her heart rate at a very dangerous level causing her skin to don the said hue.
