"Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi" is currently in production and set to premiere this coming December. A lot of stars will be featured in this movie, and one of these is the 'Guardians of the Galaxy" actor, Benicio del Toro.

Benicio del Toro appearance in the "Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi" was officially confirmed when the principal production began back in February 2016. However, as of now, no official detail about the actor's role in the movie confirmed by the filmmaker.

Regarding this, a recent speculations report suggests what would be the role of Benicio del Toro in the "Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi." According to the Making Star Wars report, del Toro is either named D.J. or it is his code name used in the production.

"He wears all black, he has a trench coat on with a Han Solo-style belt at his waist to hold his blaster, his hair is short, he also has a strange cap that doesn't have a bill to it, he looks slimy and dirty, but the bill-less cap makes him look sort of like a throwback to a different era and he belongs in the criminal underworld by the looks of him." The report added that the man in black-style we heard about is certainly there but his style evokes a few things in the design. His coat more like Anakin's Revenge of the Sith costume in that its lapels evoke a tabard look and its black leather.

Other rumors also claim that del Toro will portray a live-action version of Grand Admiral Thrawn, while other claims suggested he was Boba Fett's son. The Disney still mum about this rumor, but an event where they will reveal more official details about the movie will be held later this month. There, del Toro's character's mystery will finally reveal.
