Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Release Date, News & Update

The Samsung Galaxy S8 has definitely reinvigorated the hype towards the company's upcoming handset lineup despite the previous debacle that staggered them with the volatile Galaxy Note 7. Just as when everyone thought that the Note brand will be scrapped by the South Korean giant, it may well seem that it will be back to redeem itself through the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Concept renders of the Galaxy Note 8 are getting rife online which was rumored early on to don the working title Baikal that was named after the world's deepest lake. Similar to the Galaxy S8, the yet to be announced Note 8 is expected to sport the same Infinity Display that is considered one of Samsung's key selling points, according to AndroidHeadlines.

If such rumors are anything to go by, the Galaxy Note 8 will have a 6.4-inch display with 4K capability. An in-display fingerprint sensor will also be available which is the exact opposite to the Galaxy S8 whose mentioned component was placed at the back of the upcoming handset. Another feature to watch out for with the Note 8 is its dual camera setup which is said to be the first to any Samsung handset. Diagrams of such component are also making rounds online and could stash in features like the portrait mode that will provide a depth effect on every photo.

Furthermore, it is heavily speculated that the Galaxy Note 8 would see the light of day during the fourth quarter of 2017. However, such information should be considered circumstantial as of the moment as Samsung has yet to make an official announcement about the mobile device.

Meanwhile, one of Samsung's engineers has revealed that the company's handsets with foldable displays could be out in the wild by 2019. Codenamed Project Valley, other reports suggest that the company might be releasing the revolutionary smartphone way sooner than anyone thought of, according to Bloomberg as cited by CNBC.
