'Running Man' Welcomes Yang Se-chan, Jeon So-min As Its New Members
SBS variety show "Running Man" just added two new additional members of its cast. The production team confirmed on April 3 that Yang Se-chan and Jeon So-min will be the newest members of the show.
Before adding two new people to its roster of members, "Running Man" has six regulars namely, Yoo Jae-suk, Haha, Lee Kwang-soo, Kim Jong-kook, Song Ji-hyo and Ji Suk-jin, Asia One reported. Yang and Jeon already appeared in the variety show as guests before finally becoming one of its casts.
Several issues surrounded "Running Man" for the past few months including it being cancelled, but producers decided to keep it airing. The variety show faced a controversy regarding the change in line-up of its cast members for the second season which made the production team decide to cancel it.
Management re-considered its cancellation when fans became vocal about how disappointed they were that "Running Man" is being cut-off. Producer Nam Seung-yong reportedly apologized to each cast member, which followed an announcement that they will keep the show running, according to another report by Asia One.
Nam expressed his gratitude to the "Running Man" cast members for all of the difficult decisions they made. He also addressed avid followers by saying that they will try their best to produce an even more enjoyable show to satisfy the expectations of their international fans who have supported "Running Man" ever since.
Aside from almost being cancelled, "Running Man" also lost two members December last year when Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook. Reports revealed that Song already had on-going talks of leaving the show to focus on her acting career. Kim, on the other hand, did not issue any statement regarding his departure from the hit variety show.
Episode 344 of "Running Man" aired last April 2. For more information about "Running Man," check out the video below.
