Monsta X Ready To Debut In Japan Under New Label Mercury Tokyo

The "No Mercy" survival show's winning Korean boy band group, Monsta X, is ready to debut in the Land Of The Rising Sun on May 17, 2017. The official announcement was reported by the group's South Korea label, Starship Entertainment earlier today.

According to Starship Entertainment, Monsta X, which comprises of seven members - Wonho, Kihrun, Shownu, I.M., Minhyuk, Jooheon and Hyungwon, has signed a new deal with the Japanese label Mercury Tokyo under Universal Music in Japan. Universal Music has created the label Mercury Tokyo especially for the popular Korean boy band group to debut in Japan. The music studio has chosen this name from a famous American label, Mercury Records, based in Chicago, Illinois in 1945.

Monsta X is going to debut in Japan with their single "Hero" that was a promoted song of their second mini-album in Korea back in 2016. Further reports note of the Korean boy group to release a Japanese variation of their hit song "Stuck" with their debuting song. During their starting days of career, Monsta X debuted their first music video "Trespass" on May 14, 2015.

Their debuting song in Japan "Hero" was part of the mini-album "Rush" that placed on #1 position in the Hanteo Chart, Focus News reported. Their album "Rush" also had a song of the same name which was released on September 1, 2015. Since the release of the two mini-albums, which peaked to top positions on various music charts, Monsta X has gained immense popularity among fans in South Korea and beyond.

Now, Monsta X is ready to make their first appearance in the Japanese music industry with one of their most popular songs. In addition, reports note of the boy group to travel to ZEPP NAMBA in Osaka to perform at the promotional event on June 1, 2017, Soompi reported.
