iPhone 8 News & Rumors: Upcoming Apple Phones Will Feature True Tone Displays
Many rumors spreading online speculating what could we see in the Apple's next iPhones. In the recent reports, other features included in the list of probable upcoming iPhone 8 specs.
An investor notes from Barclays revealed that Apple is currently working on a plan for the upcoming iPhone 8 smartphone. According to it, the manufacturing company plans to bring its True Tone display technology to all three of this year's new iPhones, including the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus.
The iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus, and iPhone 8 is being in the news these past months, but this new report is suggesting new technology to come, not just in the anticipated iPhone 8, but also to another two handset device.
According to 9to5 Mac, the note was compiled by analysts Andrew Gardiner, Hiral Patel, Joseph Wolf, Blayne Curtis, and Mark Moskowitz. This note claims that the new iPhone 8, iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus will feature a full spectral sensing ambient light sensor, giving the devices the true color display. Also, Barclays expects that the ambient sensors will be supplied by Austrian semiconductor manufacturer AMS.
Last year when the Apple first introduced the True Tone display technology with the iPad Pro 9.7-inch model, marking a point of differentiation between the 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch models, before bringing it on the iPhone 8 and other upcoming iPhone models. Explaining that this means the display automatically adjusts color temperature based on the room environment.
Not only the True Tone display technology is coming to the iPhone 8 smartphones. The source also offers new details regarding to the 3D sensors that Apple is expected to include in the latest iPhone devices for facial recognition and augmented reality features.
The new iPhone 8 might release in the second half of 2017. No official update from the Apple yet released to the public, but tech experts expect that it will be launched sooner since the Samsung Galaxy S8 already released.
