Reality show Eden on Channel 4

Eden was a reality show on Channel 4 in the UK that started last summer with a social experiment to develop a society in the wilderness of Scottish Island. The show was canceled after airing only 4 episodes due to poor ratings. But the makers failed to inform the contestants about the cancellation.

The remaining 10 contestants who did not quit the show just discovered from the 600-acre Scottish estate where the show was supposed to be filmed. The contestants found in a vulnerable condition, battling with hunger and serious health hazards.

The group contains 23 strangers who were just accompanied by a small camera crew. All the contestants were hoping to contribute their strong personality to make the show an instant success, but they couldn't manage to improve ratings of the show. Finally, the show was canceled and the remaining contestants were left in the wilderness without any further support.

The show aired four episodes last summer but was then shelved after ratings dropped to less than a million views. The decreasing ratings were accepted, but what unacceptable is that the contestants were not told that the show was canceled and they were left in the wild to continue the experiment.

The remaining ten contestants of Channel 4's Eden who had not quit the show discovered from the 600 acre estate where it was filmed to discover what had happened in the last year for the cancellation of their show. Being canceled was not even Eden's only issue, but the show was allegedly inhuman for remaining 10 contestants. In September 2016, one-third of the contestants had decided to leave the show because they were too hungry and bullied by other contestants.

Most of the contestants of Eden even experienced that the show was not what they thought it was going to be. At one point, some of the men were even planned to carry out operation C to get the women off the show. The Channel 4 convinced that the rest of the experiment will still air, but failed to do so.

The concept behind Eden is that it was a real experienced which was going to film in the Scottish highlands. But the contestants had no idea what the results would be and how those taking part would react to being isolated for months.
