'Avatar 2' To Begin Production In August; Actor Hints On The New World To Be Featured In The Sequel

It is no surprise that James Cameron's "Avatar 2" has been delayed yet again and the 2018 release window will not be met. However, Actors Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana revealed bits of information about the film and on when the production would actually start.

Fans are quite acquainted with the fact the aside from "Avatar 2," the film's third, fourth, and fifth installments will be shot concurrently and that feat alone is already ambitious. That said, it is now believed that the movie follow-up will see the light of day in 2019 or 2020. An equally brilliant actress who is also part of the film - Sigourney Weaver already has doubts early on about the movie's 2018 release.

Sam Worthington, on the other hand, recently talked to We Got This Covered about "Avatar 2." He said that the next film will something that fans have never seen before.

Apart from the above-mentioned simultaneous filming, Worthington revealed and from what he heard that there will be gaps in between though such news is still debatable until Cameron kicks off production. In line with this, he also stated that the production will start filming in summer and further explained that the "Titanic" director needs to straighten out the scripts before they could start. That said, Worthington also mentioned that he already read the material and felt great about it.

The actor said that "Avatar 2" will take place eight years after the events of the original film adding that his character - Jake Sully already has a family. Worthington also blurted out that Jake will still be like a kid in the sequel albeit that he has been on the planet for quite some time now. On that note, Worthington hinted about the new world that Jake is about to witness in the movie that made him feel as such.

Meanwhile, Zoe Saldana who played as Neytiri in the first "Avatar," spoke with E! News stating that she too is anticipating for the production of "Avatar 2" to begin which she revealed to commence in August. Saldana even commended Cameron's brilliance in filmmaking and being a perfectionist in his craft and advised fans to extend their patience a bit more.
