It remains unclear, up until now, if KBS will still be releasing a sequel to the highly-popular "Descendants of the Sun" series. Now, new reports are claiming that this is not impossible to happen especially with the unending awards being bestowed to Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo including all the cast, crew and all people behind the successful Hallyu.
Recently, Song Joong Ki has made a screenwriter cry during his speech at the 29th Korea Producer Awards, as per Soompi. For starters, the leading man of Song Hye Kyo has nabbed another acting award for his exemplary performance in "Descendants of the Sun" at the recently-concluded 29th Korea Producers Awards.
During his speech, Song Joong Ki did not fail to mention Song Hye Kyo as part of the show's success being his leading lady. What caught the attention of many is when the "Descendants of the Sun" actor has also given due credits to Kim Moon Sook, who is a screenwriter on CBS radio show.
"I learned a lot from hearing the words of many veterans in their fields. I think it was a good thing to come tonight," Song Joong Ki has stated. "Kim Moon Sook said that she writes scripts that go nowhere. I will become an actor who can work to bring those precious scripts to life," the leading man of Song Hye Kyo in "Descendants of the Sun" added on.
The very sweet message of Song Joong Ki has sent Kim Moon Sook to tears. The CBS radio screenwriter has also received an award during the 29th Korea Producers Awards.
Meanwhile, Poor Primadonna has reported that Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo will start filming for the "Descedants of the Sun 2" this year as the sequel is expected to be released before 2017 ends. However, up until now, KBS has noted yet confirmed any of these speculations until now.
