Nintendo's latest installment of their long-running "Legend of Zelda" series dubbed "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" has been without a doubt one of the best game releases as of late. Albeit living up to the hype and reaching such acclaim, players are a bit irked with the game's weapon system.

Unlike other open world AAA titles, "Breath of the Wild" veered away from putting up an XP system where the protagonists gain experience points whenever a task has been fulfilled or beating enemies within the game. With the absence of such setup, Nintendo thought of other ways of character progression and that is where the game's weapon system sets in.

Sure, "Breath of the Wild" has a plethora of weapons and armor sets waiting to be discovered by players. However, the constant annoyance brought up by players is the fact that these weapons, regardless of how powerful they are, tend to lose their durability real quick not to mention the absence of a gauge warning players that the weapon is about to break.

Hence, it is suggested that if Nintendo could just make some tweaks in "Breath of the Wild" and bump its weapon durability by 20-30 percent alongside a weapon status bar would be highly appreciated, according to Forbes. If such would come to fruition, then players will not need to change weapons mid-battle just because it is about to break.

In the interim, some players have discovered a rather unlikely way in upgrading certain weapons within "Breath of the Wild" thanks to the amphibious octopus-like creature known as octorok. Rusted swords are a common sight in the game and deemed useless as they are close to getting broken. However, some players found out that if such weapon is equipped and being sucked by the said creature, it will spit out a brand new render of the weapon, Polygon reported.

The said trick worked with some shields, though when players armed themselves with broken weapons like a damaged claymore, it spat out the same weapon minus the upgrade. Watch a video about "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" here:
