'The Matrix’ Reboot Version Confirmed; Here’s What You Can Expect?

"The Matrix", a movie that stole hearts with its awesome action sequels is all set to woo fans one more time. Reports indicate that the makers of the iconic movie are now ready to come out with a sequel which is expected to be bigger and better too.

Warner Bros is in the process of developing a sequel. Even though the cast is yet to be confirmed, there is a possibility that "Creed" star Michael Jordan will be one of the leads in the movie. The studio is already in talks with Zak Penn to work on the script of the sequel.

Penn has worked on various other superhero movies in the past making him a worthy candidate for the sequel as well. However, he is yet to confirm any official engagement.

What can fans expect?

As the talks of a reboot version are still in the nascent stage, there is no confirmation on the cast that is likely to be a part of it. "Matrix" producer Joel Silver had approached Warner Bros with the proposal of creating a new franchise, The Verge reports.

But given his relationship with the Wachowskis, Warner Bros. was skeptical about the association. The sequel is likely to have a totally different story. Nevertheless, Warner Bros. may consider approaching the Wachowskis to show them the progress before coming out with a sequel.

Will Keanu Reeves be a part of it?

Reeves has hinted at the possibility of being a part of the movie if the Wachowskis are at the helm of the project. However, Warner Bros. is likely to choose a fresh approach, opting for new faces. Even Jordan has not confirmed his participation in his movie.

No timeline pressure

As of now, the makers are not looking at a timeline for the sequel to come out. In fact, there is a possibility that the entire project to be canceled. This cancellation would not be the first of its kind. Previously too, the makers have canceled the idea of going ahead with a TV show based on the popularity of the series.
