Luffy's Red Suit Worn By Japanese Ambassador In Israel; One Piece Chapter 859 to feature Luffy & Capone Bege Teaming Up

The anime culture is very much alive and well even in the Holy Land as an annual event for anime fanatics was held just recently. Japan's ambassador to Israel was also present at the said event and even surprised attendees with the "One Piece" costume that he wore during that fun occasion.

The 59-year-old Japanese official - Koji Tomita, took the stage of Harucon 2017 on Sunday, March 12 as he welcomed the participants donning a costume of "One Piece's" iconic pirate, Monkey D' Luffy. He even revealed that he was quite embarrassed that he wore a suit in 2016's Harucon instead by dressing up for the occasion. Tomita went on saying that if attendees want to learn more about Japan, he invited them to visit the country.

Some notable Japanese voice actors were also present during the event like Toshio Furukawa from "Mobile Police Patlabor" and the 80's anime "Urusei Yatsura" and his wife Shino Kakinuma who voiced Naru Osaka (Molly Baker) of "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon," according to Crunchyroll.

The 2017 Harucon marks its 10th anniversary and is annually organized by the Association of Manga and Anime in Israel (AMAI) alongside the Convention of Anime and Manga in Israel (CAMI). The 10th installment of the event has lured in over 3,000 anime fans and cosplayers that amazed one of the Japanese voice actors. Furukawa stated that he was surprised that anime has been widely accepted offshore and is now thinking of visiting other countries in promoting the said culture.

In the interim, the Manga adaptation of "One Piece" is heading towards its 859 chapter as Luffy and the Mafia-like Capone Bege are about to make a truce to defeat Big Mom and at the same time foil the inbound wedding of Sanji to Charlotte Pudding. If rumors are anything to go by, talks between the two parties will start off sour as the Straw Hat captain can still remember what the pirate mob did to Pekoms.

However, Jinbei who served somewhat of a mediator between Luffy and Bege reminded them to set aside their grudges against each other and instead focus it at a common foe - Big Mom. Moreover "One Piece's" next chapter will also zero in on the Yonko's roots on how she came to be and how she became a towering menace, Droid Report has learned.
