TWICE Become Taeyeon’s Fans As They Sing Along ‘Fine’ Backstage
Members of girl group TWICE transform as fans to fellow K-pop idol Taeyeon as they sing along to the lyrics of the song "Fine." It appears that Nayeon is not the only Girls Generation fan in the group as the rest of the nine-member girl group showed themselves to be fellow fangirls. A backstage cam revealed the JYP artists singing just fine to Taeyeon's song at SBS' "Inkigayo."
TWICE took home the first spot with "Knock Knock" in the latest episode of "Inkigayo" but Girls Generation's Taeyeon looked even more victorious. The 27-year-old SM artist and renowned singer picked up on her solo music career with her first full-length album "My Voice" and the title track "Fine." While performing her comeback track on the music program, TWICE was revealed to be totally fangirling and singing along to her comeback single.
At least two members of TWICE are certified Taeyeon fangirls. A camera at the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards captured how Naeyeon and Jungyeon freaked out when they actually saw the "Starlight" singer. Naeyeon even found herself in hot waters after posting how much of a fangirl she was by listening to Taeyeon's digital single. A flurry of criticism resulted, however, because she streamed the music through SoundCloud.
Aside from TWICE, GFriend's Yuju and AOA's Seolhyun also reveal themselves to be fangirls. Knowing that the Girls Generation member will be guesting over MBC FM4U radio show "Noon Song of Hope," Seolhyun sent DJ Kim Shin Young a screenshot of her personal music playlist all consisting of Taeyeon's songs. This amused the SM artist who encouraged Seolhyun to contact her directly instead of doing so through other people and even told her "it's okay for you to be more forward." Taeyeon is also good friends with singer-actress IU. Her comeback follows the solo debut of the youngest Girls Generation member Seohyun.
