‘Logan’ Grossed $33M, Bagged The Best R-Rated Movie Of All Time

The newly release "Logan" is the proof that the R-rated superhero movies can be a big business for the Hollywood. Hugh Jackman's "Logan" grossed a whopping amount of $33 million on the first day of release. The movie is considered as one of the best starts from the R-rated movies. The movie is also the Top March opening of all time.

Fox is again making the headlines for the massive collection of "Logan" at the Friday box office. The makers proved that R-rated movies can be a huge business for the filmmakers. Previously the movies like "Deadpool" and "Moonlight" presented by Fox won the hearts of millions and even rocked the Oscars. The movie might receive a tough competition from "The Shack" and "Before I Fall."

The movie was directed by James Mangold, received outstanding reviews after premiering at Berlin International Film Festival last month. The movie even got 93% of rating on Rotten Tomatoes which is considered as the best of Hugh's career. After experiencing the spectacular performance in the movie "Logan," the audience positive opinions are also increasing.  The makers are also planning to release "Logan" in the international market this weekend which includes China, India and many other foreign countries. The international release of the movie could further help the makers to gross $75 million to $100 million range.

The story "Logan" is based on the adventurous storyline of Logan who encounters a mysterious young girl named Laura played by Dafne Keen. Actor Patrick Stewart even contributed a major role in the movie. Following upon the success of last year's daring Deadpool, it is another victory for 20th Century Fox in proving that R-rated superhero films can have sharp claws. To boot, it is getting the widest release ever for an R-rated title.
