English actor Patrick Stewart said he wants in on the fight against US President Donald Trump and so he's applying to become an American citizen. The 76-year-old actor said this "might be the only good thing as the result of this election." After all, the Yorkshire-born actor has been living in Brooklyn, New York since 2012 with his third wife.

Patrick Stewart revealed Tuesday episode on "The View" his plans to oppose Donald Trump. He shared he's been visiting his friends in Washington who all advised him that there's nothing else to do but "fight, fight; oppose, oppose." He realized he can't do that when he's not a US citizen and that's when the idea hit him.

The actor, well-loved for his roles as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the "Star Trek" films and Professor Charles Xavier in the "X-Men" superhero movies, is only one among the many celebrities who've spoken out against Donald Trump. Arnold Schwarzenegger announced Friday he will no longer return as host for "The New Celebrity Apprentice." The former California governor and "The Terminator" superstar gave it a "straight 10" to NBC and producer Mark Burnett and expressed his willingness to work with them again "on a show that doesn't have this baggage." Trump, "The Apprentice" host from 2008 to 2014, had taken a swipe at Schwarzenegger's low ratings. The Austrian-American star hit back in a video to suggest they switch jobs instead, according to CNN.

"Hey Donald, I have a great idea," said Schwarzenegger. "You take over TV because you're such an expert on ratings and I take over your job and then people can finally sleep comfortably again." Actor Alec Baldwin, one of the most notable Trump impersonators, is also eager to take on Trump's seat at the White House. At least for this year's White House Correspondents' Association Dinner.
