Game of Thrones Mag the Mighty Actor Neil Fingleton Dies at 36; What Could be the Reason?
Game of Thrones actor and U.K.'s tallest man, Neil Fingleton dies at 36. He played as Mag the Mighty on the medieval-fantasy HBO series. Many are wondering what could be the cause of death.
According to initial reports, Fingleton passed away due to heart failure. His family is yet to release a statement regarding the details of his passing. The fans of the actor and the show Game of Thrones must be grieving right now.
The 7'7" Fingleton took advantage of his height by joining the University of North Carolina and Holy Cross basketball team, reports Syfy Wire. Prior to Game of Thrones, he had small roles in 47 Ronin, Jupiter Ascending, X-Men: First Class and Avengers: Age of Ultron and also appeared on Doctor Who. He was also one of 25 tallest men on earth.
But most of all, Fingleton became popular for portraying Mag Mar Tun Doh Weg, or simply Mag the Mighty in Game of Thrones. He is a giant who is a member of the Mance Rayder's army. He appeared during Season 4.
Before his stint in Game of Thrones, Fingleton said in his previous interview with The Journal that his height really did not bother him. Instead, he used it as an advantage and said that being tall is great. He further added that the only bad thing about being tall is the remarks about it.
"I never let my height play a negative part in my life. I always do what I want, some tall people may be restricted as they are constantly stared at or people ask the same questions over and over," the late Game of Thrones actor said.
Fingleton's fans, along with his friends and colleagues expressed their condolences and tribute to social media. A Game of Thrones fan even posted a picture with a caption that remembers his legacy, notes The Sun.
