Angelina Jolie Opens Up About Her Divorce With Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie and Brat Pitt news has been closely followed by a lot of fans who were taken aback with the announcement that the power couple filed for a divorce. Both actors kept mum on their side of the story but this time, Jolie decided to share her thoughts on the issue. While talking about the Netflix Original "First They Killed My Father," she also shared details about how she is coping after the divorce which was announced back in September.

 "First They Killed My Father," a movie produced and directed by Angelina Jolie is a story of genocide in Cambodia. The 15-year-old Maddox who was the couple's first child was adopted from Cambodia. Jolie shared that the divorce has been a "very difficult time" adding that they will get over it and become stronger as a family. Jolie admits that her situation is not unusual and her children are helping her cope with their current situation.

"My focus is my children, our children ... and my focus is finding this way through. As I said, we are and forever will be a family," Angelina Jolie stated following her divorce from Brad Pitt. "I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer."

The Angelina Jolie and Brad Bitt divorce gained much attention from the press since the couple are high profile. Aside from that, there were earlier rumors that Pitt was guilty of child abuse although he has now been cleared of all those charges. The couple had six children: Maddox; Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne.

Despite the challenges that she is going through, Jolie maintains that her main focus as the children. "First They Killed My Father," Jolie's newest project following her highly publicized divorce. Although the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt divorce remains to be a hot topic, it is good to know that Jolie is coping quite well.
