Julie Plec Hints The Return Of Katherine In 'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8 Finale; Also Talks About Klaroline, If It's Happening Or Not
"The Vampire Diaries" season eight finale is now a few weeks away and the fans are now anticipating the upcoming events that will happen among the characters in the show. One of which that the fans have been waiting for is the upcoming return of Nina Dobrev; is she also coming back as Katherine Pierce?
Fans of "The Vampire Diaries" are now freaking out after the show's executive producer Julie Plec answered some questions about the upcoming finale on a Twitter Q&A segment. According to Teen Vogue, she recently took to twitter to give a few teasers and spoilers about the upcoming series finale that is happening in a few weeks. One of the greatest questions is the role of the most-loved actress on the show, Nina Dobrev. Based on the short clip released about its upcoming finale episode, Dobrev was seen as Elena, waking up all confused and lost. This has then confirmed that she is indeed coming back for that role. However, fans can't help but wonder if Dobrev is also coming back to play as the fierce Katherine Pierce.
One of the fans asked Plec during her Q&A segment on Twitter for "The Vampire Diaries" season eight finale if Katherine was coming back for the finale, especially since the gates to Hell has been opened and many assume that she is indeed in there. The producer's answer was so simple, "Si!" was what she said. Everyone knows that is Spanish for "yes." Now, everyone went ballistic as they have all loved Katherine despite being the villain for the first part of the series. Her bitchy character has been learned to have loved by the fans of the show, especially knowing that she also had a horrible past.
On another note, one of the greatest questions ever asked was if Klaroline is bound to happen soon at some point in the series. Many fans of the show have been rooting loudly for Klaus and Caroline to get together, even though Klaus is already in New Orleans (hence the show, "The Originals"). Hollywood Life reported that when asked about it, Plec answered with "Sort of...???" That statement has definitely left the fans on the edge, although it has been hinted that "The Vampire Diaries" season eight finale will somehow tie in with "The Originals" storyline.
