As the eSports industry is now rising, the NBA wants to dive in as they are currently teaming up with Take-Two Interactive to make an "NBA 2K" eLeague. With this, "NBA 2K" series fans may now have a chance to unleash their skills in basketball with the use of their gamepads and controllers.

The NBA.com confirmed that the NBA and Take-Two Interactive has opened up a partnership earlier this week. This is to create a new breed of virtual basketball league with the "NBA 2K" eSports League.

NBA and Take-Two Interactive will be taking advantage of the fact that the eSports industry is gaining its popularity all over the world. With the fact that the "NBA 2K" basketball game is best played with a human opponent instead of spending a lot of time competing against the stupid CPU-controlled teams.

The TSN reported that current NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said that they will bring some of the best "NBA 2K" players around the world to compete with each other while representing a real NBA team. Silver added that they tend to make the "NBA 2K" eSports to expand the NBA league brand.

The "NBA 2K" eSports is expected to launch next year. As Take-Two and NBA said, they will be recruiting players by means of a draft combine tryout and will eventually draft players who will be qualified.

Starting with just 15 real NBA teams, the "NBA 2K" eSports will expand to complete the 30 teams during the process. It is confirmed that five players will be needed to represent one NBA team.

The eLeague process will be presented like a real NBA schedule. The "NBA 2K" eSports will start on the regular season, advance to the NBA Playoffs until 2 teams that remain will compete for the championship in an actual NBA arena in the United Stated. A $250,00 will be awarded to the champion after the finals.
