Samsung Galaxy S8 Update: Will Samsung Release A Flagship Phone That Is Cheaper Than The iPhone 8?
After the unfortunate Samsung fiasco, last 2016 which caused almost all of its Samsung Galaxy Note 7 recalled, it seems like the Korean brand is set for a huge comeback. Apparently, it is anticipated to release its Samsung Galaxy S8 this April at a cheaper price compared to its closest rival, Apple.
According to a Chinese tipster who works for Samsung, Galaxy S8 with 128GB will be released in the Chinese and Korean markets. Meanwhile, the Asian and Indian markets will have the chance to sell both the 64GB and 128GB variants while Europe will have the 4GBRAM/64GB memory phones only.
According to HindustanTimes, there are leaks that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will come out in two sizes -- 5.8-inch Galaxy S8 and 6.2-inch Galaxy S8 Plus. The anticipated phone is packed with many features and although it is expected to be pricey, several reports suggest that it would be cheaper than iPhone's forthcoming high-end phone, the iPhone 8.
According to Express, the Chinese tipster who had released quite a number of details about the upcoming Samsung phone has also shared some information about its price. The Galaxy S8 (64GB storage) will be sold for roughly $885 while the one with a bigger storage (128GB) will be marketed for about $945.
However, the pricing for the Galaxy S8 models under the 4GB and 64GB variant has not been mentioned.
Meanwhile, iPhone 8 is expected to be sold for about $1,200 so it's safe to say that for now, Samsung's price is more affordable. With almost the same features and design, Samsung Galaxy S8 is obviously a steal. According to BGR, the upcoming Apple and Samsung flagship phones for this year will sport an IP68 water and dust resistant feature and an OLED display.
This only shows how the competition is getting tighter but until then, Samsung Galaxy 8 and iPhone 8's feature and design is still a mystery.
