One Direction Belfast Gig: Fans Refuse To Accept Liam Payne's Apology, Says It 'Isn't Good Enough'
After cancelling the Belfast show at the very last minute, Liam Payne finally aired his side as he sent his apologies to his disappointed fans by posting tweets on his Twitter account. But for some, an apology from the pop star was not enough.
"I'm so sorry to everybody I disappointed last night. I'm feeling better now. I really hope everyone can make the rescheduled date on Friday," Liam posted on his social media account cited by Mirror.
Liam Payne added "Thank you so much for all the trends and lovely messages you guys did for me it really shows how amazing u guys actually are," according to Mirror.
But for some, sorry isn't enough. Many of the pop star's fans were left heartbroken as one bride-to-be revealed to Independent.ie her sentiments regarding the canceled concert. According to her, she moved other wedding commitments to accompany her niece to watch One Direction perform.
Tara Gallagher, the bride-to-be, told Independent.ie, "Sorry just isn't good enough". The lady fan flew back home from Canada for her wedding this coming Saturday. Her sister-in-law and niece, originally, had been scheduled to watch One Direction concert on Saturday but the tickets were swapped for them to welcome Tara. They have moved other obligations just to give way for the said show.
The Belfast show was cancelled at the very last minute as Liam was taken ill and can't perform that Tuesday night. The four-piece boy sent their deepest apologies to their fans individually through their Twitter accounts.
A One Direction spokesperson read a statement saying "Unfortunately One Direction have had to cancel tonight's concert in Belfast. Liam has been taken suddenly ill, and the concert will sadly not be taking place," Mirror cited.
Liam, once again, tweeted "As I said I'm feeling much better now and I really can't wait to perform and make it up to everyone later," which confirmed the young pop singers will perform tonight and tomorrow in Belfast as plotted.
""Tonight's and Tomorrow Night's One Direction concerts in SSE Arena, Belfast will be going ahead as planned." SSE said reported by Mirror.
"Once again we apologise for the cancellation of last night's One Direction show. We thank everyone for their understanding and their good wishes to Liam."
"Tuesday's concert has been rescheduled for this Friday 23rd October. All tickets from last night's postponed concert will be valid for Friday.
"For anyone not able to attend the rescheduled Show on Friday, please contact point of purchase for detail of how to obtain a refund," SSE added cited by Mirror.
Meanwhile, Liam Payne was said to be suffering from food poisoning however until now the mysterious illness hadn't been confirmed. Many of his supporters still wishes for his welfare to get better in the coming days.
