Star Wars 8 The Last Jedi: Everything We Know So Far

For months, avid Star Wars fans cannot help but think about the title of the next episode. From the speculations, no one must be expecting the official title to be The Last Jedi. While it might be a hint of what is bound to happen, here is everything we know so far about Star Wars 8.

The title itself paved a way to a lot of questions: Who is The Last Jedi? Will it be Rey or Luke Skywalker? Apart from the fact that Episode VII would be the continuation of The Force Awakens, the production is yet to reveal significant clues about the saga.

What to Expect on The Last Jedi

Director Rian Johnson told USA Today on January 9 that the moviegoers would discover something new about Rey, Poe, and Finn in Star Wars 8. It will also open the deep connection between the main character and Luke Skywalker.

"I wanted to know more about each of them, and that doesn't just mean information or backstory. Figure out what's the most difficult thing each of them could be challenged with now - let's throw that at them and dig into what really makes them tick by seeing how they handle that," Johnson said.

The director was the first who unveiled the official title of Star Wars 8. He was also the one who hinted that the fans will get to see the Millenium Falcon again.

But apart from that, the official synopsis for the intergalactic film is still under wraps. Perhaps the loyal fanatics will get updates from time to time regarding the story.

Meanwhile, the Nerdist reported that new characters will be joining the saga. Disney and Lucasfilm confirmed that Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie Tran will be on Star Wars 8 but their roles are yet to be revealed.
