Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder supposed reunion have been making rounds again after the actress confirmed that she will return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale. However, some fans are remains unsure if Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore are going to reunite in the upcoming ending.

Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder's reunion might not happen in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale. According to the news outlet, the husband of Nikki Reed has already made it clear he does not have plans to have scenes with his former girlfriend.

As a matter of fact, Ian Somerhalder has previously revealed that Nina Dobrev's return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 has caused him and Julie Plec to argue. The showrunner has been very vocal that she wants the "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" actress to return in the vampire-themes series but Nikki Reed's husband wants otherwise.

However, there were also claims saying that Ian Somerhalder badly wants to have Nina Dobrev back in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. As a matter of fact, Spoiler Scoop has reported "The Anomaly" actor is very hopeful that his reunion with his ex could help redeem the show from cancellation.
