The Cleveland Cavaliers has just turned down the offer came from the New York Knicks earlier today. Knicks tried to offer Carmelo Anthony to the Cavs in exchange for Kevin Love.

A report from the CBS Sports said that the New York Knicks offered their start player Carmelo Anthony to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Knicks are trying to acquire Kevin Love, but the Cavs quickly turned down the offer.

Carmelo Anthony stated earlier last week that he is willing to waive his No Trade Clause if the management would really ask him to move out. But in this case, Carmelo Anthony confirmed that he has nothing to do with the pitch and was not called by the Knicks management to talk about the plan.

Eventually, the pitch was made and quickly rejected by the Cavs. Though rejected, it was now confirmed that the Knicks are willing to let go of Carmelo Anthony, but is sooner than every fan expects.

The Cavaliers are known to have an issue in their current roster as they are struggling to win in their past few games. The issue was also addressed by LeBron James, citing that GM David Griffin needs to fix the issue as early as possible as the Sports Illustrated reported.

LeBron James mentioned before that he would love to see himself playing along side with Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul on the same team. Earlier, when asked about the Melo deal, James said that he would love to play with Carmelo Anthony but not this time, since they have no plans to trade Kevin Love.

It is pretty much to say that Carmelo Anthony will be dealt before the NBA trade deadline comes this February 23rd. With the Knicks' current status, it seems that Melo is no longer part of their future plans.
