"Pokemon Go" is undoubtedly the biggest mobile game of 2016. When the title was released last year, fans of "Harry Potter" started making a scene. For Potterheads, the movie franchise needs a similar augmented-reality game adaptation.

What is "Harry Potter Go?"

First of all, Niantic has not yet responded to the calls to develop the title which is supposed to be inspired by "Pokemon Go." A video for the undeveloped game was created by YouTube channel Near Human Intelligence and it details the gameplay that fans "may" expect if the title gets a developer.

Instead of Pokemon, "Harry Potter Go" will require players to collect Horcruxes. A Horcrux is one of the treasured items that witches and Dark wizards in the movie franchise have. Horcruxes can be rings, lockets, cups, and more. Aside from collecting Horcruxes, players will also battle against Deatheaters, discover new spells, and learn more about the Wizard world of Harry Potter.

Online Petition Launched

Meanwhile, Potterhead Ashtyn Hannon has launched an online petition to help fans get "Harry Potter Go" faster. According to Hannon, the game should allow a player to disable an opponent's app through the use of spells.

The petition goes on to explain that the signatures should reach Warner Bros. so "Harry Potter Go" can become a reality. Both Niantic and Warner Bros. have yet to respond to the petition as well as the request to develop the anticipated title. So far, the petition has over 63,000 signatures.

"HPG" Fan-Made Trailer Unleashed

Another YouTube channel, Stargaze Media, has unveiled its fan-made trailer for "Harry Potter Go." The trailer says players will be able to capture beasts and creatures that were most likely featured in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." It also suggests that the game should allow for fans to choose their houses from the list of Hogwarts Houses seen in the film franchise.

Should a developer decide to take on "Harry Potter Go" and pattern the title to the fan-made trailer, fans can expect witch and wizard card collecting adventures, PokeStop-inspired stores called Magic-Stops, and everything else related to the world of wizardry.

"Harry Potter Go" has yet to obtain a developer and publisher. Stay tuned for more updates!
