Erik Davis, Fandango and MoviesDotCom managing director, took to Twitter to confirm that the "Star Wars: Episode 8" trailer will be launched in April 2017. David has also revealed that the development of the trailer kicked off several weeks ago, hinting that this is now near completion.
It has been divulged also that director Rian Johnson is now helping the team in producing the much-awaited "Star Wars: Episode 8" movie. According to speculations, the upcoming film is currently on editing phase now, which is considered as the most time-consuming stage.
Meanwhile, actress Laura Dern has revealed to Bustle that women are empowered in the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode 8" movie. The 49-year-old star has stated that enabling women to be at the vanguard is among the missions in the film.
The news outlet added that "Star Wars: Episode 8" movie is going to feature Poe, Finn, and others continuing the journey of Rey. "From the beginning, the position of power and intellect of a woman in that world was extremely heightened, as opposed to what was happening on planet earth, so I think [Episode VIII] will be continuing and magnifying [that]."
Another reason why fans should really watch the "Star Wars: Episode 8" movie is because it is Carrie Fisher's last movie after she passed away in December 2016. While the death of the veteran actress shocked all "Star Wars" followers in all parts of the globe, they should be excited for the adventures of Princess Leia in the upcoming film.
