Ji Chang Wook Opens Up About Being An Actor

In 'Marie Claire', Ji Chang Wook talked about how it was to be an actor.

Ji Chang Wook said that being an actor is sometimes "painful" but according to him, he can always release those strong, repressed emotions through acting.

"There are a lot of times when I feel painful, but I experience catharsis when I agree in tone with another actor and stand on stage. I'm also always sincere when acting," the actor shared.

Meanwhile, Ji Chang Wook is currently doing the film 'Fabricated City' which is hitting the cinemas this coming February. This is his first ever lead role in a film.

'Fabricated City' tells the story of an avid video gamer (played by Ji Chang Wook), a very popular in the virtual game world, who was framed for raping and killing a high school girl. He later learned about the big company who is behind framing him. During his quest to prove his innocence, he met a fellow gamer (played by Ahn Jae Hong) and a female hacker (played by Shim Eun Kyung) who helped him uncover the truth.

The said film is under the direction of Park Kwang Hyun and will be released this February.

Ji Chang Wook is known for his roles as the 'Healer' (2014-2015, KBS2) and 'The K2' (2016, tvN). He was also among the many leading men in the short Naver TV Cast web drama 'First Seven Kisses'.

Aside from 'Fabricated City', he is also to do another movie 'Two Constables' which will also be released this year.

Ji Chang Wook is one of the most effective Hallyu actors of today. He is really sincere with his acting, as he claimed, and it shows on the success of his projects. This is also evident in the fact that he's one of the most in-demand actors in South Korea right now.
