'Nintendo Switch' Specs And Release Date Revealed

The "Nintendo Switch" is now on its way and is now ready for launch in the next few months. Specs have been finally revealed along with its features during the "Nintendo Switch" Presentation held in Tokyo, Japan last Thursday.

The Verge was able to get the most accurate information about the "Nintendo Switch" which is known to be the first hybrid video game console. As being said last year, the "Nintendo Switch" is a traditional desktop video game console that can be transformed into a portable gaming device.

The tablet-like console has a 6.2-inch touchscreen display that can render a 720p HD resolution. This high powered tablet may be connected to an HD TV using an HDMI cable and can broadcast a 1080p HD resolution when docked.

Packed with a 32GB internal, the "Nintendo Switch" is also expandable using a Micro SDXC card. The "Nintendo Switch" may not have the storage capacity similar to the PS4 and XB1, but just be reminded that this hybrid console will be using the old school game cartridge as a medium.

BGR also confirmed that the "Nintendo Switch" is also equipped with a Wi-Fi port with a high-efficiency battery. Finally, the NVIDIA Tegra will be the heart of the new "Nintendo Switch," a known processor that can run HD games.

Lastly, the "Nintendo Switch" Joy-Con was known as the detachable controllers. The Joy-Con works in a very familiar way since its design and usage was taken from the Wii Controller.

A motion sensor, infrared and Amiibo support are included in the Joy-Con as part of its features. The "Nintendo Switch" Joy-Con is also using the HD Rumble vibration for a maximum game experience.

All these will be released on March 3rd along with some game lined up. The "Nintendo Switch" might not be as powerful as the PS4 and XB1, but the hybrid console might change the current trend of video game industry.
