Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus Latest News & Updates: Android 7.1.1. Update Arriving Q2 2017; 7.0 Nougat OTA Brings Much-improved Features
Some Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus users have already received the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update. Now, new reports are claiming that the flagships will soon be getting a new Android 7.1.1. Nougat OS update.
Though no specific release date has been announcing yet, Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus users can expect for the new Android 7.1.1. Nougat update in Q2 of 2017, as per Enstarz. According to the news outlet, Motorola has been exerting so much effort to bring more impressive features in the said flagships.
Enstarz added that the upcoming Android 7.1.1. Nougat OS update will be carrying a build number of NPJ25.93-11, which is said to be compatible in both Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus models. The media outfit emphasized that only Moto G4 Plus handsets with the XT1643 model number and Moto G4 with XT1624 model number are allowed to install the update.
The upcoming Android 7.1.1. Nougat is expected to bring restorations to Moto F4 and Moto G4 Plus models if it is needed. Meanwhile, the Android 7.0 Nougat update has already brought a number of impressive and of much-improved features such as the Doze-Mode, Data Saver, and the Work Mode.
In other news, International Business Times shared some leaked details about the imminent Moto G5 Plus. According to the news outlet, the successor of Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus will be featuring a 4GB of RAM, 5.5 full HD screen, and a Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor.
Moreover, the Moto G5 Plus is said to run the Android Nougat OS. Aside from having an improved battery life, the successor of Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus will feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front snapper.
Other Moto G5 Plus features also include a fingerprint scanner and Andreno 506. The successor of Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus successor is expected to arrive in March 2017.
