Millions of fans around the world were saddened when One Direction officially announced that the group will be having a hiatus. However, despite taking a break from the spotlight, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne are still making headlines and reaping awards.

Unreality TV shared Maximum Pop has announced that One Direction won the Best Group of 2016 award. According to the report, Directioners have come together and voted for the all-boy group to acquire the title even if the boys did not make any performance last year.

Also, Niall Horan nabbed the Best Solo Act of 2016 award after getting hundreds of thousands of votes from his devoted followers. It can be recalled that the bandmate of Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne has released his first solo single called "This Town," which effortlessly made it to the major music charts worldwide.

At the moment, Harry Styles is said to be busy filming for a movie and an upcoming TV series. There are also claims saying that the former boyfriend of Taylor Swift and One Direction singer is going to release his solo track very soon.

Louis Tomlinson, on the other hand, is currently keeping himself away from the public as he grieves after the death of his beloved mom. Liam Payne, for his part, is said to be expecting his first baby with Cheryl Cole while Niall Horan is currently attending to all his showbiz commitments.

Meanwhile, it can be recalled that Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne have gathered together again at Louis Tomlinson's "X Factor" finale performance. The One Direction members have gathered after a year of hiatus to support Danielle Campbell's boyfriend tragically lost Johannah Deakin due to leukemia.

"The words that Simon [Cowell] said on the telecast ring true to what they feel about Louis' performance," an unnamed source told Hollywood Life. "They are proud of him, and they know his mom would be proud as well. They all love the song and strength he showed. It was magical."

Up until now, it remains to be seen if Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne are still getting back together as One Direction. While some say the hiatus will lead to disbandment, there are still few who believe that the boys will reunite in 2018.
