Kim Young Kwang Candidly Shares His Thoughts On Kissing Scenes With Soo Ae In “The Man Who Lives In Our House”
During a recent interview, actor Kim Young Kwang recalls his experiences on set in his recent drama "The Man Who Lives in Our House." The 29-year-old model turned actor candidly talked about his thoughts his kissing scenes with co-star Soo Ae.
"They were really hard," Kim Young Kwang said, as per AllKpop. "I would have taken the lead if she were my age or younger, saying stuff like, 'Let's do it like this, let's do it like that,' but she was my senior, so it was hard for me to bring up the kiss scenes first."
"The Man Who Lives in Our House" or alternately called as "Sweet Stranger and Me" talks about the unusual love story between an older woman who discovers she has a younger step-father who she has to live with after her mother died. True to their age difference in the drama, actress Soo Ae shares an 8-year age gap with Kim Young Kwang, all the more creating a believable noona-romance situation in the drama.
Kim Young Kwang further shared that his kiss scenes with the actress just felt awkward for him at first, being the younger one in terms of age and acting experience. The actor shared that his chemistry with Soo Ae easily grew that in their second kiss scene, they didn't have to plan it beforehand as it just went smoothly. To this, Young Kwang shared his appreciation for the actress's professionalism and support throughout their shooting.
"There were many times Lee Soo Hyuk and I were confused because we have not often played the leads," Young Kwang recounted. "Whenever that happened, Soo Ae was there for us, which we liked. We were impressed multiple times by her acting. She acted in a direction that I had not thought of at all. I really liked watching her."
