Song Ji Hyo Cried Upon Learning About Leaving ‘Running Man’ Says Label

It looks like the fans are not the only ones affected upon hearing the news about Song Ji Hyo leaving the show. The actress-host was also devastated upon hearing the bad news, said her label.

As revealed by Song Ji Hyo's label, OSEN, in a recent interview, the actress cried upon hearing the news of her leaving 'Running Man' along with another host, Kim Jong Kook. She even cut off all her communications, revealed the label.

"The members loved 'Running Man' a lot, and they were like family for the past 7 years. She was hurt deeply by what happened," OSEN revealed.

"After she heard she would be leaving, she had a really hard time. She cut off all communications and just cried her eyes out," the label added.

The producers of the almost seven years old variety show had decided not to include both hosts in the second season of 'Running Man'. However, they weren't able to personally inform both hosts about their decision. Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook only learned about them being "kicked out" of the show after the news broke out.

Although the producers of 'Running Man' already released a statement to officially apologized to both hosts, fans remained furious about what happened. And after a series of controversy and a lot of criticism from the fans, it has been decided that 'Running Man' will finally come to an end.

The producers of the show recently revealed that the planned 'Running Man 2' will no longer push through amid controversy. They have announced that 'Running Man' will have to end by February next year.

Although fans are devastated to bid goodbye to the variety show that has already become a part of their lives for the past seven years, they said that it is better that way than to continue watching it with some of their favorite longtime hosts gone.
