Kim Woo Bin arrives for the 51st Daejong Film Awards on November 21, 2014 in Seoul, South Korea.

Kim Woo Bin opens up about his latest small screen drama "Uncontrollably Fond." The KBS drama which aired from July 6 to September 8 had great expectations due to its casting but it has ultimately failed to keep up and ended with poor ratings.

On Dec. 15, Kim Woo Bin had an open interview with Star Today for his upcoming movie, "Master." With his drama flop, the actor was asked whether this has affected him in any way when doing his next production.

"I'm personally proud of both productions and they are precious to me," Kim Woo Bin responded, as per AllKpop. "Of course, the viewer ratings are important but I wasn't hugely disappointed with 'Uncontrollably Fond' because the viewers loved it sincerely and gave us support."

Kim Woo Bin starred in his first leading role this 2016 in KBS drama "Uncontrollably Fond." Starring alongside "nation's first love" Suzy, the drama started with high expectations, mostly due to its casting, but didn't manage to live up to it. The ratings for the show started well and just went downhill through its proceeding episodes. Ultimately, the drama recorded extremely low viewer ratings.

With Kim Woo Bin's rising popularity as an actor, and "Uncontrollably Fond" being his first leading role in a South Korean drama, the poor results may have affected the artist's confidence. However, Kim Woo Bin seems to have pushed through as he focused on the positive things on his first drama.

"It would've been better if more people gave us compliments and recorded higher viewer ratings, of course," Kim Woo Bin stated. "But I personally have pride in the production and I think the results were okay."

Kim Woo Bin has since filmed a new crime action movie, "Master" which is set for release on Dec. 21 in local theaters.
