BTS’ V’s Character in ‘Hwarang’ Introduced
BTS' V's character in the upcoming KBS drama 'Hwarang' was recently introduced.
In the latest teaser, V's character in the upcoming historical drama, Han Sung, was introduced. He plays the role of an innocent "hwarang", the youngest of them all. His character always gets in trouble for sleeping in and dissing his teachers. He enjoys dancing with his hyungs and, being the friendliest among the group, tries to be closer with the new "hwarang" Moo Myung/Sun woo-rang (played by Park Seo Joon).
As Go Ara, who's also part of the drama, had explained, Han Sung is "full of curiosity, laughs a lot, and if he focuses on something, he won't know what's going on around him even if the world is turning upside down." That somehow made V's character in the said drama to watch out for.
'Hwarang' (also known as Hwarang: The Beginning) tells the story of an elite group of male youth in Silla, an ancient Korean kingdom that lasted until the 10th century of Silla. The term 'hwarang' literally means "flowering knights".
V (with the full name of Kim Tae Hyung) is a member of the boy group BTS. He started in 2013 when he was launched along with the rest of the BTS members. 'Hwarang' will be V's debut project as an actor. He will also collaborate with a fellow BTS member, Jin, for the OST of the said drama.
Other actors who are also part of the said upcoming historical drama are Park Seo Joon, Go Ara, Park Hyung Sik, Choi Min Ho, Kim Tae Hyung, Do Ji Han, Jo Yoon Woo, Kim Ji Soo, Choi Won Young, Seo Ye Ji, Lee Da In, and Kim Chang Wan.
'Hwarang' will air its pilot episode on December 19, 2016, 22:00 KST and will be shown on Mondays and Tuesdays (replacing the timeslot of 'Sweet Stranger and Me').
