iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are Now Available in Korea
The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are now available in Korea. The latest addition to the growing Apple collection, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, finally hit the shelves of Korea. This will definitely heat up the already intense competition against the leading mobile companies in the country, Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics.
iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are Now Available in Korea, making them available to consumers since Friday. Compared to iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, the new Apple flagship handsets were reported to have higher pre-order figures. This could be also because of the many promotional activities leading mobile carriers in the country are offering to attract more customers. SK Telecom for example, the leading mobile carrier of the country, even offered an overseas travel ticket for two (worth $1760) to their first iPhone 7 customer. Promotional activities such as this made the whole the thing even more exciting.
Although there is no official report yet on iPhone 7 and 7 Plus' specific sale figures, it was already predicted that it will double the sales of its predecessors, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. However, there is also a big possibility that the huge initial impact it has to buyers will slowly decline in the coming days. In that case, it will only have a minimal effect to Korean's biggest phone companies, Samsung and LG. As of now, Samsung has more than 70% share on the smartphone market in the country while Apple has only about 20%.
iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are Now Available in Korea and upon its launch, local telecom operators are also doing massive media and customer events to distract buyers from buying from them. This is also an attempt to fill the sales void of the recently controversial scrapping incidents of Samsung's latest flagship handset, Galaxy Note 7.
