On October 16, B2ST announced that they will be leaving Cube Entertainment and the members will create their own label, allkpop reported.

It was reported that on October 15, the members' 7-year contract with the entertainment agency already ended. The current five members of the boy group will not be renewing their contracts and that they will be establishing their own label together.

Before this announcement, leader Doojoon hinted that the remaining B2ST members will not be staying with Cube Entertainment. The new start, which might have referred to the creation of a new label by the members, shocked the fans and netizens.

Doojoon wrote on his Instagram, "Busan is so far away, but thank you, thank you to everyone who came from all over the place. Soon, it will be our 7th anniversary. A lot of things will change, but hopefully, everyone can get used to it quickly!!!! Thank you, B2UTY, B2ST. Everyone worked hard!!! Please continue to take care of us."

He continued, "Seven years ago at this time, I was awake. Today, I can remember all the memories like it was just yesterday. The second story to B2ST will now start! Everyone, fighting! Thank you. I love you!"

Last month, B2ST member Yoseob responded to a fan's troubled request on SNS. The fan asked, "Oppa, please upload a bunch of pictures of all of the B2ST together on Instagram. If your contract ends, they will become rare, hard-to-find photos, so please take a lot while you still can."

Yoseob responded, "Why would those photos become rare and hard to find? I don't follow? Kekeke. You will be seeing pictures of B2ST together a ton from now on. Do not worry. We are not splitting."

Some insiders also shared that the group members feel thankful for Cube Entertainment for giving them the opportunity to debut and for taking care of them. However, the boys want to try new things. As a result, they will not be renewing their contracts with the agency in order for them to begin their independent label.
