'Reply 1997' Lead Stars Seo In Guk And Jung Eunji Reunite Again
The lead stars of the hit Korean drama "Reply 1997," Seo In Guk and Jung Eunji will reunite again after four years since their last stage and project together.
Seo In Guk is a singer and actor in South Korea. He established his singing career after winning the "Superstar K" competition in 2009. He gained popularity after playing the lead role in TV series "Reply 1997" in 2012. Meanwhile, Jung Eunji is a singer-actress and song writer. She is a member of the South Korean girl group Apink and started her acting career in the same drama with In Guk.
"Reply 1997" is a South Korean drama that revolves around the story of six friends who live in Busan. The drama is about the coming of age and nostalgia as it portrays the extreme fan culture that started in the 1990s where popular idols like Sechs Kies and H.O.T are on the center stage. Jung Eunji portrays the character of Sung Shi-won, an ultimate fan girl of a boyband and ranks last place in their class while Seo In Guk plays the role of Yoon Yoon-jae, a boy next door and ranks first in their class and he falls in love with his childhood friend Shi-won.
The drama was a big hit in South Korea and have received more than a million views after it was posted on streaming sites online. It also received tons of positive feedbacks and gained attention locally and even internationally.
According to the music industry officials, the duo is set to appear on stage together at the "tvN10 Awards" with a special stage for "Reply 1997" on October 9th. The event will be held at the KINTEX Exhibition Center in Ilsan, South Korea.
The last time that the "Reply 1997" love team collaborated on stage together was in 2012 on "M! Countdown" and they sang "Still Our Love Continue." Moreover, the two of them are already working for their upcoming collaboration stage together after four years. Seo In Guk and Jung Eunji are set to sing "All For You," which is the original sound track of their drama "Reply1997."
Furthermore, Seo In Guk and Jung Eunji are both nominated for the "Best Kiss" category for the upcoming tvN10 Awards for the same drama. Currently, Eunji is busy promoting her new album as a member of Apink while In Guk is working with his ongoing drama "Shopaholic Louis."
