Former 2NE1 Member Minzy To Be Recording Her First Solo Track?

The former member of 2NE1, Minzy, was speculated to be recording her first solo track after leaving the group.

On September 27th, Minzy updated her official Instagram account that left her fans and followers curious about the video she posted.

Fans speculating that the video posted by Minzy is a hint regarding her solo debut and some think that it is just for fun.

The video posted by Minzy is only an 8-second clip which does not have any sound. In the video, Minzy was wearing a blue denim shirt with a black choker on her neck. She was also wearing her headphones and was bobbing her head to the music that she was listening. Many netizens are curious and some are speculating that she was recording a new song in the studio for her solo debut.

On April 5, YG Entertainment released a statement confirming that Minzy already left 2NE1.

"We are sorry to inform the many 2NE1 fans who've waited so long. We are making an official announcement that 2NE1's maknae Minzy will no longer be a part of 2NE1," YG Entertainment said in a press statement.

After Minzy's departure from 2NE1 and YG Entertainment, she found a new agency to work with. Minzy signed a contract under Music Works, which is a subsidiary of CJ E&M Company. The entertainment company was founded in 2010 where its previous name was O Media Holdings. In 2011, it became CJ E&M which stands for CJ Entertainment and Media. Currently, the company is focusing on producing and promoting solo artists like Baek Ji Young who is a pop ballad singer in South Korea.

Meanwhile, on Minzy's Instagram video post, she captioned it saying "DooDoomChit~ The makeup on my face is melting~ my shabby face Lol"
