Instagram Allows Zoom in on Videos and Photos in iOS, Android Soon to Come
Instagram is finally rolling out, the much awaited feature of pinch-to-zoom support in its iOS app according to Techrunch. The newest feature will allow users to zoom in on both photos and videos in the main feed, profile pages and explore tab of the application.
The update will arrive in Google play store for Android users in the coming weeks the company said.
According to Techcrunch "the lack of zoom in instagram is possibly one of the few remaining near-universal frustration for mobile users who often try to zoom in on an image and remember that they can't."
The Telegraph reports that "pinching and zooming on a photo and video pulls it out of its frame and blows it up so it fills the page. Given that before users would have to screenshot an image to then zoom in on it, and that they can't download the video or photo files from the app, the now easy way to look at them close-up the addition is expected to be very popular."
Instagram has had several crucial updates in the recent past: Instagram Stories, landscape and profile aspect ratios all of which has generally resulted to a much-improved experienced of the beloved photo app.
