Actress Milla Jovovich just posted a candid "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" photo in her Instagram account which gives netizens the idea that she's back on shooting and the film production is now in the works, according to Comingsoon.net.
The actress posted not only one, but two "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" photos, letting everyone have a first look at the current status of the movie. It is scheduled to release on January 27, 2017.

Similar to the previous "Resident Evil" movies, Jovovich, 39, will reprise her role as the heroine Alice. The story for the final film will pick up from the events in "Resident Evil: Retribution" with Alice being betrayed by Wesker in Washington DC. Now, she must return to where it all started - the Racoon City - where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces on its final strike against the last remaining survivors of the apocalypse.
Alice will then be joined by old forces in this last battle - and also with an unlikely ally - against the undead creatures and new mutant monsters. As she lost her superhuman abilities and with Umbrella's final blow fast approaching, this will surely be her hardest fight in saving humankind.
"Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" was announced in 2012 by Sony Pictures following the success of "Resident Evil: Retribution." It is produced by Jeremy Bolt, Paul W.S. Anderson, Robert Kulzer and Samuel Hadida. Jovovich will be joined by actors Ali Larter, Iain Gleen, Shawn Roberts, Ruby Rose, Eoin Macken, William Levy, and Japanese model and TV personality Rola.
