The fight of Jorge Linares vs. Ivan Cano has been concluded and the former has emerged victorious within four rounds.

Jorge Linares, a true Venezuelan in heart and blood, fought for the first time in his home country in his 13 year-long professional career against Mexico's Ivan Cano who was also a great fighter.

In the first few rounds of the bout, Linares got punched a lot by Cano, who was seen as someone who had nothing to lose according to BadLeftHook.

Linares, however, was more experienced. Linares has a record of 39 wins with 26 of those wins by way of knockout. Cano was considered to be a no pushover too, since his record is 23 wins with two of those wins by way of knockout.

Experience seems to be an advantage in the Jorge Linares vs. Ivan Cano fight.

In the first round, Cano dropped on a knee after a good hit from Linares. In the third, combination shots by Linares were unleashed on Cano particularly on the body. This was the time where it was evident that Cano was starting to get hurt from the hits.

When the fourth round started and after 58 seconds of brutal combination of punches to the body, Cano finally caved in and stayed down.

Linares was definitely in control of the fight the whole time and also the advantage of the home court also counted. His record now stands at 40 wins with 27 of those wins, by the way of knockout. His win against Cano has become another stepping stone for better bouts.

Jorge Linares will now go up the rankings while Ivan Cano will go down. The winner is still unsure what to do next, but there are now a few contenders he can try to fight with like Dejan Zlaticanin, Emiliano Marsili, Kevin Mitchell, Ivan Redkach, and Franklin Mamani.
