'Toy Story 4' Plot, Release Date, News: Tom Hanks To Be Replaced By Brother Jim After Revealing Details On The Movie?
“Toy Story 4” plot and release date have been reportedly finalized, but after actor Tom Hanks revealed the details of the movie to the public, it was rumored that he will be replaced by his own brother, Jim Hanks. If this is true, will the Woody role be different?
This rumor might be too impossible to be true as Tom Hanks has been the voice of Woody since the very start of the franchise, Independent UK reported. However, the award-winning actor revealed he lets his brother, Jim Hanks, lend his voice when he’s busy.
The Huffington Post wrote that while it may not be in the “Toy Story 4” plot, 59-year-old actor spilled the beans on a Graham Norton interview. The host reportedly asked Hanks if the Woody doll is his voice and the actor cheekily responded, “No, that’s my brother Jim.” Apparently, the actor’s brother has been voicing several video and games for the franchise.
The Woody replacement rumors may have started after Tom Hanks reportedly revealed the secrets that a fourth installment of the all-time favorite Disney film was on its way, Movie News Guide wrote. It was reported that Disney wasn’t too happy with the revelation but the actor candidly said, “But I am Woody!”
In “The Graham Norton Show,” Hanks reportedly said that the film will debut in 2018 and the cast began recording last December. What more, the “Forrest Gump” actor said it will be different from the first three movies as it will have a love story in the plot. Rumor has it that the film will be doing a sort-of romantic comedy feel, focusing on Bo Peep and Woody.
International Business Times reported this was further confirmed by Disney Pixar COO John Lasseter during the 2015 D23 Expo. Apparently, Woody and Buzz Lightyear will go on a quest to find Bo Peep, ending in an emotional love story.
With the “Toy Story 4” plot in place, the film is set to be released in cinemas on June 16, 2017.
