LG V10 Specs: Dual-display, Snapdragon, Larger Battery, 4GB RAM Enough To Be Called 'Super Premium?'

Launched at around Q4 last year, the LG V10 is the first device in the South Korea-based company's new smartphone line-up.

Weirdly enough, the company chose to go with the moniker LG V10 (where's V1-9 anyway?)

The seemingly strange nomenclature, however, does not discount the fact that LG V10 specs are truly impressive enough to make it counted amongst the top-of-the-shelf smartphones around today.

On a closer look, it V10 seems to be a genuine effort by the company to serve that segment of the market looking for a richer multimedia experience from their smartphones.

While that was admittedly an ambitious objective, some of the key LG V10 specs and features including the innovative Second Screen feature makes it apparent that the company has succeeded to a great length.

The V10 carries a 5.7-inch IPS LCD Quantum Display that delivers 256-x1440p resolution with a truly impressive pixel density of 513ppi.

However, the main screen is hardly a matter of surprise considering that LG has included QHD resolutions in almost all its flagships.

The real eye-grabber is the secondary screen that has been positioned towards the phone's top-front side.

It's basically a smaller IPS LCD Quantum Display sized at around 2.1-inch. The resolution is 160x1040p and it flaunts the same pixel density as the primary screen.

The Second Screen functions independently from the primary screen and can be used in an "always on" mode without affecting the battery backup.

This screen is perfect for displaying things like time and date, battery status, weather updates and so on.

Other key LG V10 specs and features include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 4GB of LPDDR3RAM, Adreno418 GPU, 64GB native storage (expandable up to 2000 GB) and dual camera (one 16MP and the other 5MP).

Overall, one may disagree with LG's attempts to project the V10 as a "super-premium" smartphone, but the device is certainly no slouch in terms of the hardware it has been bestowed with.
