Ryan Reynolds has spilled the beans: there is big chance a "Deadpool" movie sequel will come into fruition.

In an interview with Radio 1, the 39-year-old Canadian actor hinted that the film featuring the "Merc with a Mouth" will get a part 2, and perhaps something in between like a version "1.5," Metro reported.

"I can actually tell you right now there will be," the "Green Lantern" star declared. "There's too much footage - too much stuff that we love, and we had to make choices, and that's just the nature of the beast."

He jokingly added, "But yeah, we have enough for a few sequels, probably!"

But even before Ryan Reynolds made the disclosure on a possible "Deadpool" movie sequel, the film's director Tim Miller already floated the idea of what could possibly happen to the movie' deleted scenes.

'I don't wanna be all Joss Whedon on you, but no there's not [a director's cut]...," Miller told Collider via Metro.

"There are some deleted scenes that have some extra stuff, but I'm pretty happy with this cut. I like it,' he added.

In the meantime, Fox is already gearing up for the highly-anticipated "Deadpool" movie sequel, as writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have reportedly started work on the film's script, according to the Hollywood Reporter

The report likewise speculated that Tim Miller might return to direct the sequel, as there are indications that Fox is intent on keeping the film's creative team intact.

Reese, Wernick and Miller, as well as Ryan Reynolds banded together and fought tooth and nail to convince Fox executives to proceed with the making of "Deadpool."

Wernick and Reese, who are credited for the movies "Zombieland" and "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" in fact acted as "Deadpool's executives producers and stayed on board throughout the film's development and production.

Meanwhile, the rumored "Deadpool" movie sequel is expected to feature Marvel fan-favorite Cable, a soldier from the future and the son of Cyclops, Forbes revealed.

The report even suggested that the superhero in red spandex could appear in cameo roles in the succeeding "X-Men" movies due to the loud buzz generated by the "Deadpool" film.

And based on the success of the "X-Men" franchise, Fox might decide to strike while the iron is hot and finally greenlight the "Deadpool" movie sequel.
